Welcome to Perspective and Convos! I am Eunice E. Curry, LPC, a trauma-informed therapist licensed in Pennsulvania and Virginia. This blog is a space for real conversations about healing, grief, anger, and everything in between.
Perspective and Convos began in 2020 as an Instagram page — created to advance the conversation around mental health, particularly in communities of color. At the time, the world was navigating crisis, uncertainty, and deep collective grief. Like many of you, the pandemic changed things for me — personally and professionally — and reminded me just how critical mental health awareness and advocacy truly are.
What started as a small idea grew into a platform for open dialogue. I shared interviews with fellow mental health providers, spiritual leaders, and community members — voices that could speak to the layered ways mental health shows up in our lives. We explored grief, healing, trauma, faith, anger, and resilience — always returning to this central truth: mental health is not a luxury; it is a necessity.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my work is rooted in trauma-informed care and emotional truth-telling. But Perspective and Convos is more than clinical insight. It’s a space for stories, reflection, and real talk — for people who are navigating their healing, questioning their peace, and searching for language that honors their experience.
In this blog, I’ll continue the mission that started on Instagram: to contribute to mental health awareness for all people — but especially for those whose voices have often been ignored or overlooked. This includes people of color, those carrying generational grief, and anyone doing the hard work of showing up for themselves when the world hasn't always shown up for them.
You can expect a mix of reflections, professional insights, and practical tools — all offered with warmth, respect, and a deep belief in the power of healing. This is not a therapy session, but it is trauma-informed. This is not a replacement for care, but it is rooted in compassion and truth.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for continuing the conversation. I hope something in these words resonates — and if you're ready to take the next step in your healing journey, you’re welcome to explore my therapy services here.
